In these changing times, electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles are becoming more and more popular as we start to make significant contributions to saving our environment. We are now seeing the range of pure electric cars exceed 200 miles quite commonly. In fact many owners no longer charge their cars every day. Owners of electric and hybrid cars will need charging facilities in their own homes.
New chargepoint installations must be carried out by qualified electricians authorised by a recognised manufacturer. To qualify for the government home charging grant, the installer must be registered with OLEV - the Office for Low Emission Vehicles. Andrew Greenwood Electrical are trained and authorised installers of Rolec equipment, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of charging stations for all types of vehicles including caravan and marine applications. We are registered with OLEV as an official installer and can be found on the list of approved installers on the gov.uk website. All installations are guaranteed for parts and labour for a period of 3 years from date of fitting. We can guide you through the application process for the OLEV grant, which is currently £350 inc VAT.
